Apparently into a significant headwind, too.

        On edit: -0.9m/s wind.

          wet track

Powell in the lead till 85-90 meters. Think he is like 0,03 or so behind in the end.

I believe Powell threw out that notion in London, namely that what other people run will dictate how fast he does.

To catch a 9.72 man with such ease after a slow start is BOLT ish.

Surely Powell can take down Mo Greene's 60m world indoor record. He held off Bolt 'til 90m there and got out as fast as anyone I've ever seen. Great race and Powell clearly the no. 2 this year (Beijing always excepted).

I had just gotten trackshark up and running when that came on. I turned to a colleague and said - that might have been the greatest 100 ever run!! hyperbole? Maybe not.

Did I see that the temperature is 17, as well? Wow -- perhaps the greatest 100m of all time there.

Great race. This is what the Olympic 100m should have looked like between Powell and Bolt.

you have a one track mind. 9.69 is still the world's greatest 100m.

Take your pick of either race: assuming a standard pressure of about 101 kPa (although it's probably lower) and a temperature of 17C, this time adjusts to 9.69s.

If you were watching the on-line feed, you'd have heard the announcers saying the same thing.
