there's too much money at stake to aim for <1'54 & blow-up & lose

just take the win in low-mid 1'55

take a shot at wr in rieti

Jelimo:s own admission is that, this season, she won:t be able to approach the WR in all probability.

        AllAfrica.com:

"I can tell you I'm so tired ... The World record is now closer but I'm not sure I can do it this year, maybe next."

Jelimo now with alltime performances # 3, 10, 12, 13, 17, 23, 36, and 42, all in the last 15 weeks. Only 4 other marks faster than her 42nd spot in the last 10 years.

A kenyan can retire on $1 mill. Hell I could retire on that, but in her case it would be like us getting $5 mill. At 19 she will be back, but will she have the same mojo.

Remember that Jelimo was added to the Berlin 800 only on the day of the competition. Had that not happened, we may not have had ANY Golden League winner. (Actually, Jeremy Wariner would have gotten a half mill for his five wins, I think.)

The ceremony for Jelimo has been dishonorable, you can't do that while the 10000m are still in progress. I don't think she even got cheered and she didn't seem to know about the procedure either.
