Well, the balance of your overall education must have been pretty good. 2,210 posts, all of which provide value, speak to that fact.

My timing worked out perfectly with Lane Lohr being the coach there. I was about a semester and a half from graduating from University of Georgia, missed the start of spring classes there to go to the Pole Vault Summit, and ended up picking up and moving to St. Charles in less than two weeks!

Lindenwood was a horrible school academically, I only went there for track, so I was glad I graduated when I did. I had 7 semesters of quality education under my belt from two great schools, so I figured 3 semesters of crap wouldn't kill me. The experience I got as an athlete, a coach (I coached at Wash. U my last semester) and SID made up for the lack of academic rigor.

Hit and miss depending on the coaching staff. I don't think they are as generous with scholarships as they were when I was there, and I don't think the quality of coaching is of the same level (except for throws).

That's how it goes with most of the NAIA schools. Virginia Intermont dominated for a few years, now they don't even have a track team and the schools itself is in constant danger of closing.

It would make it all the easier to have a championship if they need only organize a quad meet.

I haven't checked each school's website yet, but from the list they have on their website it looks like only 4 schools sponsor track, and 2 of them already compete in another division for track.

THE USCAA WELCOMES NEW MEMBER, LINDENWOOD UNIVERSITY-BELLEVILLE
    1/20/09
Lindenwood University-Belleville will join the USCAA membership for competition in the 2009 and 2010 athletic season. They will compete in men’s and women’s soccer.

I had never heard of the USCAA before, but they apparently sponsor a national championships in Cross Country.

They don't have a National Championships in track, but a few of their schools apparently have track teams.

"We will have intercollegiate sports at the Belleville campus," Evans said. "One or two. Maybe track, volleyball, soccer... we haven't decided which ones yet."
They are only planning on offering classes for juniors and seniors, so it would be interesting to see how their athletic programs would work out.
Working...
