  • Florida throwers

Wow, are those Florida women throwers awesome or what? Trackwire is currently picking UF to place third at NCAA indoors with 44 points, and 37 of them to come in just the two throws.

      Re: Florida throwers

Here's an interesting trivia bit about one of the best of the Florida women throwers, Kim Barrett. While in high school in Miami, at Gulliver Prep, she was not only an outstanding shot putter, but she was All-Miami-Dade County in Cross Country. It's true that Miami is not a hot spot of girls cross country - except in the most literal sense - but to be among the top 7 high school girls in a county with 2 million people is still a real accomplishment. She was tough! That literal heat/humidity I mentioned is brutal in Sept. and Oct. yet she always competed fiercely.

Yes, Coach Judge is amazing coach and great person. He is very committed to coaching the throws in his own program but also raising the level of throwing in the United States. I can't say enough nice things about "the Judge"

            Go Gators!
