  • Inger Miller calls recent relayists primadonnas

Inger Miller, who won gold with the Atlanta 4x1 team, was the guest speaker Saturday night at the Southern California Striders annual awards banquet, and I asked her why recent national women's teams have been dropping the baton.

She didn't name names, but it was clear she thought the recent debacles were a result of primadonna attitudes and lack of relay camp participation.

    Here's my write-up:

Here's Inger, now 36 and still a dynamo:

So Lauryn Williams and Torrie Edwards are primadonnas? I doubt that a primadonna would pick up a dropped baton and be determined to finish the race.
