Wouldn't win Interesting News Of The Year even just ahead of Berlin, let alone now, but I guess it's my duty to post the first selections to Finnish team for Berlin:
SC: Jukka Keskisalo (defending Euro Champ and there's a great big empty hole where other contenders for his spot should be so selecting him was a no-brainer)
Mar: Francis Kirwa (2008 was something of a breakthrough year for him)
HT: Olli-Pekka Karjalainen (I really hope he'll get a healthy winter and spring training in this time, with no Tikhon/Devyatovskiy in the picture he'll be a strong medal candidate)
50k: Jarkko Kinnunen and Antti Kempas (it's not as though anyone else wants to do the event)
JT: Tero Pitkämäki (defending champ) and Tero Järvenpää (very nearly OG medalist)
Nothing shocking; the only selection even slightly questionable is that of Järvenpää, but with 4 spots it's highly unlikely he wouldn't make the team anyway.
