I am told Hooker's third attempt was close, he had the hip height.

          6.06m makes him the #2 vaulter all-time.

It was a very good attempt. Sara Jamieson told me he was using a new pole tonight. He really had the crowd going. It was a terrific meet.

So what do we know about Webb's training? Last week 4:04 and 1:52, a better time yesterday. Coming along at the pace he desires this year, trying to avoid over-training or whatever put paid to 2008?

It's been four years since anyone ran faster than Willis (Lagat 3:49.89, Rotich 3:53.18 in '05).
