Erratic driver hits charter bus carrying EWU track team

SEATTLE – Four people were slightly hurt in an accident involving a car and two buses on SR 520 in Bellevue

Two buses carrying the Eastern Washington University track team were in an accident shortly after 4 p.m. Friday after a driver cut off one the buses on westbound Highway 520, just east of 84th Avenue Northeast in the Hunts Point area.

The State Patrol said only minor injuries were reported, and that four people were taken to local hospitals. The buses were carrying about 75 athletes and coaches to the University of Washington for a track meet.

I live very close to the scene of the accident. Generally speaking, Seattle drivers are pretty conservative and courteous relative to other parts of the country. But I suppose there's always an imbecile to be found.
