Mary Cullen ran 8:43.74 yesterday at the BU Valentines Invitational, which takes just over half a second off O'Sullivan's Irish indoor record. Cullen had got within one second of O'Sullivan's national indoor 5000m record last week with her 15:18.34.
Looks like missing out on Beijing has really fired up Cullen.
