  • John Godina will unretire

John's retirement announcement is on the wires now, after posting on USATF:

    http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/wire?sec ... id=3938217

    http://www.usatf.org/news/view.aspx?dui ... 6_13_30_00

But I predict (if not guarantee) that John will throw in masters competition by the time he turns 45. Mark my words. He'll be back! 8-)

Yes, US discus has been down as of late, but as far as Godina being "primarily a shotputter", he did throw almost 230' in the disc and was ranked as high as #3 in the world.

His retirement actually made the front page of my local sports section today, with a picture!
