Hamblin is no Ozzie - she's a Brit. But it wouldn't surprise me if she switched to represent New Zealand at some point over the next few years.

                  Powell: 3685 points (9,72/1320 - 19,90/1243 - 45,94/1122); should pop in the top-10 now.

Looks like that's an Aussie (and Oceania) junior record, taking 2.5 seconds of Hillardt's previous AJR from 29 years ago!

Men 400m: Asafa Powell is trackside, and ready to run an extra 300m!... X-Man is on, Steff is there, Milburn looks focused, and Wroe with the sunnies. This is one of the races of the meet. We're ready to go... Asafa Powell made to look as if he's jogging for the first 300m, but then motors home. Steff, Milburn, Wroe, Mulcahy, and X-Man lead into the straight, and Wroe takes it out from X-Man Carter. Wroe - 45.28, and Powell a massive PB of 45.94.

48.86 for Tristan Thomas in the 400m hurdles over Bershawn Jackson and Louis Van Zyl.
He is quietly moving up the ranks of 400m hurdlers.
