Excuse me for asking a dumb question but I saw references above to a guy in the race named " Chapa".... is that a son of Rudy ?

Eldrick-It appears that he needs to go after the mile again soon. The 3:58 must have been in 3rd gear. Actually the 1:49 really surprised me. I didn't think he had that kind of speed.

              Opposites attract?

As some may know, Dick Brown is coaching Jennings right now. Jennings is entering his second year with Brown's program and some good things can happen the second time around in a training system.

              Should be fun.

I guess I shouldn't say he "needs" to go after the mile. Instead, I would think he would want to go at the mile again. As evidence by his 800 last week, along with his strength, it would appear that he should be capable of significantly better.

Of course he will have plenty of opportunity as the outdoor season gets rolling.

I've never been, but I've seen other videos with guys running in lane one on the curves -- I think lane 1 on the homestretch is just for the sprint straight (looks like it ends just past the common finish).

You can see that the lane 2 on the home straight dovetails into lane one on the curb. It looked to me like the cones on the curve were set at the outside of the lane lines (cf, battle on LetsRun and even here on the ND meet where 15 teams in two races got auto-qualifiers for the NCAA meet).
