  • Oregon men favored at NCAA Indoor

But not by much, over Arkansas. List of predicted winners and leading team scores now on front page.

What will make the meet unusually exciting is that Oregon and Arkansas will be going head-to-head in several of the events that are important for both teams.

One hopes that the NCAA's seeding method will be to take the 18 DM teams and split them 1-9 and 10-18, rather than some "weave" method that would put #1 Arkansas in one section and #2 Oregon in the other.

Imagine, Texas is at 9:30.77 (or "9:30.77"?) and can't crack the top-seeded group.

Given how tight the packing of the teams is, timewise, other considerations might come into play. Even the #10, 11, etc teams have top times. Looking at the ND meet, there was a lot of congestion at the handoffs because things were tight. It might help having a clear path through the exchange zone even if you were a fast team in a 'slow' heat.
