    Men's HJ is a bit weak at the moment, which makes it more forgiving. Even so, Thomas was just one gold, and that a surprise - it's not as if multiple jumpers with really awkward techniques have been dominating mHJ... As for mLJ, there just aren't any speed-based they-don't-give-us-style-points guys really trying right now!

            FYI, according to the IAAF scoring tables, Chante Lowe's same day HJ/LJ double (1248/1173) exceeds the great JJK's career double (1117/1302) by two points. :shock: Amazing! Clearly Vlasic can't hold Lowe's sports bra when it comes to overall athletic ability.

                But Vlasic is the better jumping technician.
                And technique can be improved, while God-given talent can't. But I guess Vlasic can be thankful she's 6'4" and not 5'9" like Lowe is.
