I find it odd that the home town paper wouldn't mention the team's splits. They were on the meet's web site.

I would guess that the great majority of people didn't even notice that the splits are available by hitting the PDF button so they've largely gone unnoticed. And if the wire services moved agate, suspect there were no splits included there either.

I'm sure if Mike Strange were covering the meet for the paper, there would be splits. But I'm afraid the days of Mike going on the road to cover the track team are over. The newspapers around here are in serious financial trouble. To illustrate: The Tennesseean (Nashville daily) will no longer have a beat writer for U. of Tennessee football and basketball. If there's ever been a case of "'nuff said," that is it.
