                Throughout, or once it was clear that she was not in the running she ran fast enough for honest effort but slow enough to save something for the 3000? I think that she burned her bridges for the Big Ten meet, and she is going to be going to work full time (accounting) at graduation, not professional running, although I think that the Triathlon groups might want a good swimmer that can run 15:55i into that sport.

                            I thought that might be the case after checking to see how she did in the qualifier. No great hue and cry on the message boards about it though, as with Fernandez.
