I still seeJeff several times a year. He wears a neck brace now and is volunteer coaching at OCC. A very modest , personable guy. Even 30 years ago, you would never pick him out of a (very small) crowd as a decathlete who was 4th at Munich. I believe if there were a scoring system based on size, Jeff would hold the WR.

When he was a senior at Oklahoma Christian, Jeff Bennett scored 7712 and 8072 on back-to-back weekends to win Kansas and Drake 39 years ago.

Did I miss the thread where we talked about his recent 8023?
8000 in April by a collegian is still pretty sweet, even if it ain't a PR!

Fantastic series by Björn! Great surprise to see him medal...I'll comeback with some quotes later

The series puts him at 6th place all time in Sweden. Only 50 points from 2nd place behind Henrik Dagård.

All Gonz had to do was match his pb in 2 events and he would have won. Could have, should have, would have. Great performance by Ashton, he deserved it.

Thanks...looked for them there yeasterday but there probably was something wrong with my tilastopaja then bacause I also found them this time around. Perhaps Adcock could be a threat, but I think he's gonna jump up tomwards 4,80+ and that's gonna be enough!
