      Section I (of 3):

      TCU, Texas Tech, Georgeia:

      leg 1: TCU, Ga, TT

      leg 2: no changes

      leg 3: TT goes into 2nd on inside on first backstretch. Pass is TCU, TT, Ga, but TT gets by at finish line with a better pass.

      anchor: Roberts in lead for TT, Lawrence coming from 3rd closes by catches no one.

      TT 3:08.90, TCU 3:09.06, Georgia 3:09.11

          LSU, Texas A&M, Washington State, Kentucky

          leg 1: LSU, K, T, W at break and 200.
          L to lead on back. Pass--K, L, T, W

          leg 2: no changes.

          leg 3: at pass Ky,TAM,LSU, WSU.

          anchor:TAM to lead on first curve. WSU to 2nd on 1st turne 2nd lap. LSU closes on last curve.

            leg 1: at 200: FS, B, SC, F. pass FS, SC, B, F

            leg 2: Bay to 2nd with 100 to go. pass FS, B, SC, F (Wynne tried too hard on 1st lap)

            leg 3: Betters to lead at 200 for Bay. pass: B, FS, SC, F

            anchor: Bay lets FSU ride his shoulder for most of 2nd lap and pulls away over last 70m

            Bay 3:05.81; FlSt 5.97 Fl 7.51, SCar 7.83

                      Simmons???? He had to go atleast 45.2 if Roberts ran 46 flat

                        Hunh? Simmons ran 46.21. LSU ran in section II, Texas Tech was in section I. Perhaps you're thinking of Lawrence and his 45.11, who also ran in section I with Tech.

                              For me the anchor leg by Iglehart-Summers was a nice piece of relay running. On the second lap he almost seemed to slow coming off the first turn a bit as if to invite Borlee to try and pass. Borlee didn't take the bait and stayed on his shoulder. Then part way into the corner he clearly accelerated and closed out the race. Fun to watch.
