Not too long ago people here were lamenting about Sports Illustrated's lack of track coverage. Note that this week's issue has one page devoted to the return of Queen Marion AND a huge feature article about Tom Pappas. The Pappas story presents some very interesting background if you can stand to plow through it... it is written by Gary Smith, a writer who apparently pleases the editors at SI but whose literary style is, to me, really annoying. Still, for a track nerd it is worth a forced read.
