    It will be run off of no speed work. However, the steeple requires a lot of accelerations and she might have a bit more for this stage than a standard distance runner at this point in the season. However, since she will likely not be challenged until USATF in anything that 'matters', she may delay systematic (rather than incidental) fast/hard stuff until June after NCAAs (although I do not know the USATF schedule).
    1500 = Thursday & Saturday
    Steeple = Friday & Sunday

      So, after a 4:08.38 last night (old PR 4:11.36) what does Barringer do in the 800 now?

        Somewhere between 2:01 and 2:03 I should imagine if it's paced probably.

        I'm really hoping Barringer can come over to Europe later in the season - she sounds like someone who's got the potential to get in the mix with the top women.

          There aren't a lot of opportunities for women steeplechasers on the big-time Euro Circuit. They tend to end up in places like Heusden-Zolder or Naimette-Xhovément.

            Sadly it's true there aren't many chances. Time to roll out that old chestnut of proper rotation of events on the now Diamond League!

            Well, I also meant I hope her form holds for the Worlds in Berlin! Does that count as Europe?

              Lest one forget Oslo last season (9.14,77 for Galkina). There was also Barcelona and Rieti with in-season competition faster than Barringer's eventual best.

                But she ran 4:25i for the mile, so this is 'slower'

                  I agree. That is why I hope that she wins St./1500 at NCAA, then qualifies for WCh in 1500/St. at USAT&F. That should generate some invites in 1500/3000 "on the big-time Euro Circuit."

                    She had competition from Kipyego then, so her 1500 is very impressive.

                          ps--but as 26M noted, 4:25.91i for Barringer too, which is worth 4:06.22.

                            And because of the 'i' is probably superior to HE's 4:06.19
