tracksharks forums i dont think ever stopped and when i went to that site to read the forums, i saw the home page which had recent pictures and recent stories, hopefully they decided to keep the site working.

I see the forums still there, but everything else has cobwebs on it. I can't believe there aren't some NCAA track sugar daddies out there that could pony up enough sponsorship to keep it running on skeleton crew.

They were down for about 2 days last week, then they came back.

Maybe Wasserman wanted a lot of money for the name, that is out of TB's hands.

TB has had offers from other sites to work with them to keep producing college stuff. He is currently weighing his options and deciding what direction he wants to take things.

no offence to tb, but if ncaa did ever decide to do anything, it woud be more likely to set up their own "official" forums rather than "license" an unofficial one

The Establishment wants to control the input to the media. Everywhere. Which is why Track and Field News is so important to the sport.

By control, you mean tape delay everything for a week and otherwise do absolutely ZILCH to promote the sport that started the organization?

I don't necessarily disagree with your comment, but what does track & field have to do with the founding of the NCAA? It was 15 years after the creation of the NCAA that they finally created their own championship track meet.

Yes, only a coincidence that track was the first Nationals they created.... they're still working on their unifying force, football!!!
