    i believe gebremariam and his wife werknesh kidane are the first couple to both win at world xc.
    also gebrremariam has 15 medals from world xc and his wife has 20, so 35 medals for the couple has to be a record.

    Women

    So after all the talk of Kenya having their best ever team, and doing a clean sweep in the absence of Bekele, etc, they didn't even make the podium in the senior mens race!

    Team USA had a decent day. FIfth in the each of the first three races and eighth in the men's senior race behind five African teams plus Qatar and Spain.

    Gebremariam wins the men's race. I'm quite happy about this because he hasn't shown this sort of form for quite a few years.
