    It's po$$ible.
Dix is in a contract dispute and could lose the season.

What's up here? Logan was supposed to get involved. He's too good to lose!

Interesting to see he split from Long and went with Rey (9.9) Robinson.

Marlow, that's a bad link. How is Dix going to be lost? To football? Or is he threatening to sit out the season?

There's a dispute with a management group called ICON. Dix says they made false promises in a restrictive contract and they say he owes them money and tried to arrange appearances under alternative representation. He can't earn prize money until it's settled and the contract lasts until December. I presume he would be free to run at US trials and in Berlin, just not on the circuit, although I don't know if that's the case. His 10.00 was possible the other day because he was just running at the invitation of his old school.

This is what Google reveals about ICON.

Longer story about the whole thing ran on our front page 2 days ago. It's a family affair:

You must live up in the cold north to be thinking about that. Remember marlow lives in warmer climes and never has to worry about such things.

Are people in warmer climes immune from the aging process?

No, we're like fine wine; we're just getting better.

No, but the cold has an effect too.

As to fine wines, some get left on the shelf too long. Those end up sour and bitter, some are even repugnant.

When is Dix' next race? 10.0 with a headwind is a very promising start to the season.

as noted above, he's in a contract dispute, with the attendant suggestion that until he solves it, he can't run in any money meets. (Although one would hope that there are cooler heads prevailing somewhere, and if that's true, he be allowed to run so long as the money goes into escrow somewhere.)

He's running at Penn on the 4x1. I'm guessing that's allowed because of contractual obligations to Nike though....
