Might have to move the Ducks up a bit further after Centrowitz's outstanding 1500 (3:36) this weekend. He now has an NCAA seasonal best.

That has to be worth a few points for UofO.

Oregon, one suspects, would eat the NCAA field alive if the meet were in Eugene this year.

Oregon is already hosting both PAC 10 and NCAA Regional.

You pretty much have it all for the next few years. I wont take away from the fact that Eugene is Track Town USA and Hayward Field is one of the great track and field stadiums in the world and that the city/area and people know how to put on a track meet, but I am excited that Des Moines gets to host the USA Outdoor Championships next year. We did a great job hosting the NCAA's last year and look forward to hopefully hosting other big meets in the future!

And Des Moines is a worthy place to hold any national event. Check out this New York Times article on the Drake Relays:
                  http://www.nytimes.com/2009/04/24/sport ... drake.html

Made me want to visit next year.

Looks like FSU will try to get Charles Clark qualified in the 400 this weekend. Also Makusha will be back this weekend. Looks as if Coach Braman is exploring all options for more possible points for the men and women, with Pilar McShine running in the 400. FSU release at link below.

Chelanga is entered in the New York 5000, so the formchart is apparently correct that he won't run that event at Nationals.
