Wariner: I don't get on message boards anymore. I used to always get on them. Like when I was in college and my first two years of running professional I used to always get on there--on Track & Field News and Trackshark. And I just stopped doing it.
T&FN: Do you think it's better for your concentration not to read that stuff?
Wariner: Yeah. Some things would get me. I'd say, 'Yeah, well... whatever." Especially on Trackshark because a lot of them are college kids and they talk about whoever they like. They don't bring a lot of facts. Track & Field News is more of a factual website. But [checking message boards] was fun while it lasted for me....>> -

Williams is a South Plains JC soph, not a frosh; ran 46.37(A) in El Paso a couple of weeks ago.
Low-alt best 46.70 last year.
