started a topic beginners-only marathon streamlined.

    beginners-only marathon streamlined.

the vienna marathon web site says the race will be streamlined live, the race has an interesting gimmick this year in that all the marathoners will be begginners included are 2000 olympic champ and 2001 world champ in the steeple reuben kosgei who has a steeple best of 7:57 he says he wants a sub 2:10
gunther wiedlinger the hometown star who has austrian records of 3:34 for 1500, 8:10 for steeple, 13:13 for 5k and 27:36 for 10k will try to break the austrian marathon record of 2:12.
joseph marawedu (unsure of spelling) who has a 59:45 PB at half marathon and john maiyo with a half marathon PB of 60:10 are looking to run sub 2:08.
and the top female in the race (at least on paper) wants a 2:25 debut.
    it should be interesting.
