                      Nice photo indeed, but they cheated! If you look in the background you can read "Roxbury" meaning the picture was taken while he was here in Boston!

                        I thought as much, because they used a cropped version of that picture for the Karlsruhe preview article!

                        Still, great pic though.

                              Hmmmm...can't say I've really focused (ha ha) on that aspect of photo-history before. The first thing that comes to mind is Elliott crossing the line in the '60 Olympic 1500, one arm out and head back. But there are zillions of other great shots that have been made. This could be an interesting thread on its own: our favorite all-time track photos....
