Anyone see the NYTimes had an interesting article on a high school sprinter, Bradley Sylve, from Louisiana?
In there I read the following quote.
Increasingly, schools are seeking football players who happen to be sprinters, instead of sprinters who are attempting to play football. Florida, for example, won the 2008 national championship with a freshman tailback named Jeffrey Demps, who set a national high school record at 100 meters (10.01) last June at the Olympic track trials.

No offense, Friend-of-Joey-Myer-Almost, but a kid doesn't go from being an ~11.10 guy to a 10.10 guy overnight.
