  • T&FN link to Cardinal Invite no workie.. Hasay in 1500

The link goes to the Record Timing link.
And Hasay is running the 1500.
I wanted to see if it was a HS or Open race she was entered in.
    Anyone know?

also of interest german fernandez in section 2 of the 5k, shouldnt he be in section 1?
also monica joyce in the womens 5k, how old is she 50 or so? or is it just another runner with the same name?

Section II makes eminent sense in his case. He's coming off (another) injury, has never run a track 5K, and needs only a 14:12 to qualify for the Regionals (if that's what he's trying to do).

Might be good for the ego to hop into what may end up being a 13:20 race, but all things considered I'm much happier seeing him in the slow one.

No inside knowledge, but I'd guess that anyone who is good enough to be in the fast heat (like Fernandez) but is in the 2nd heat asked to be in the 2nd. Derrick is in the 2nd, and he's a Stanford guy, so he could've been in any heat they wanted.

The "German" is running the 5k too?

I reiterate! Is this going to be streaming online this weekend?

Someone get out there with a camera, laptop and air card!

With erstwhile 5k stud Goucher choosing the even slower (presumably) 3rd heat. :?:

Interesting that Hasay is in heat 1 of the 1500 while three of the four women who beat Hasay on the track as high schoolers (Tauro, Kosinsky and Chetalat, all now in college) are in heat 2.

Do any of these ladies have College PR's faster than Hasay's?

Maybe she is going to rabbit the entire race at an even pace.
