    1st day of Ukrainian cup in Yalta highlights:

    W 400: Pyhyda 51.68 in both heat and final, Baraley (90) 52.54
    W DT: Semenova 63.11
    W 100: Pohrebnyak (88) 11.36, Stuy (88) 11.42, Bryzhina (89, daughter of Olga and Viktor) 11.45, Ryemyen (87) 11.49 (all 0.1) - very strong relay for EU23s
    W 400H: Rabchenyuk 55.14, Titimets (89) 55.95
    W HJ: Palamar 1.89 - on downward slope sadly with no real potential replacements

    HJ: Krymarenko 2.30, Nartov (88) 2.28 - good performance by Krym here but still inconsistent as is Nartov
    PV: Mazuryk, Yurchenko 5.50
    DT: O Semenov 60.41, Nesterenko 3rd 59.82
    400H: Melnykov (87) 50.36 - leads Europe with 49.70 from Osaka

    Tomorrow's highlights are Petlyuk (2nd to Mishchenko - who also runs 800 here - in slowish 1500 today) v Krevsun at 800 and - wait for it - a special guest appearance in the LJ from...Devetzi!
    Lebid goes in 3k.

          Born 1982, previous PB 6.81 indoors at small meet in Kharkov in 2005, outdoors 6.73 for 2nd at the 2006 NC but DNQ in Gothenburg with 6.14 so maybe don't read too much into today's result (but she could well reproduce it Krymarenko-style!) Didn't compete in 2007 and didn't qualify for Beijing.

            I'm loving Bryzgina's daughter doing 11.45/22.99

            The women's 100 results are very decent this time of year at European level.

                No other important results.

                  W HT: Sekachova 72.33

                  HT: Rubanko 79.69
                  PV: Korchmid 5.65, Fedas 5.60; Mazuryk NH at 5.55, Yurchenko DNS

                  2nd day:

                  W Hep: Yosypenko 6412 (13.74/0.7 1.83 12.92 23.90/0.0 6.38/3.6 (6.35/1.8) 48.43 2:16.62) (no Dobrynska or Melnychenko)
                  W 800: Petlyuk 1:59.30 (Krevsun did not run)
                  W TJ: Mamyeyeva 14.38/1.8 (Kulyk DNS, Saladuha is missing season, has just had baby)

                  TJ: Savolaynen 17.17/1.8, Semenenko 17.16/1.8, Yastrebov 17.00/1.2

                      Shapoval 2.34!!!, Demyanyuk 2.30 at Viktor Lonskiy memorial in Berdychiv last Friday. Nartov joint 3rd with 2.25, Krymarenko only 2.20 in 5th.

                      Hapchuk (88) 1.92, Styopina 1.90 in women's competition.
