Are my eyes playing tricks on me, or did Al-Hebshi just put in a 21.13 AR?

That's what they just showed on tv - but it's surely not possible

He had previously established a PB of 20.61 in Donezk in 2007.

I saw the same thing and wondered the same thing. It looked as if the graphic that showed that mark immediately followed a throw by what looked like Hoffa. (Yes, I know what Hoffa looks like, but it was a long camera shot and it was up on the screen only for a moment.)

I, too, find it hard to believe that Al Habshi threw that far.

And he hasn't gone over 20 meters since then!

OK, so the other throw wasn't Hoffa's.

Now I don't know what to think.

Al-Hebshi's other attempts in the competition were all below 20... But on the Mike Carter thread everyone tried to persuade me it's perfectly normal to have one attempt 4 feet above your normal level, so I guess this is no big deal, right?

OK, they just showed Al-H's series through four throws, and they showed the 21.13, but none of the other three throws was over 20m, and looking at his fourth throw, I find it hard to believe that he could have thrown 21m. But there's no doubt that the throw that immediately preceded the graphic that showed the 21.13 was over the 21m mark.

They never showed Majewski during the coverage, even though he finished second with 21.22 - the second best result of his career.

Tilastopaja has Al-Hebshi listed as being 1.80 tall and weighing 83kg ( 5-11, 183lbs). If that's the case that would be more unbelievable then the 21.13.

It would mean the guy is about as big as Walter Dix
