Look for some fireworks to occur this weekend especially in the sprints.
St. Aug sent a message early in the men's 4 x 1 heats...let's hope it continues in the final.
Yeah that 44.3 was serious.....they had like 6 girls in the open 100.
On the women's side, Lincoln is poised to win another title. Hope they don't have another blowout like what happened in the women's long jump yesterday when a potential scorer was bounced from the competition.
Also the men's 400m final will be awesome, the Falcon's Josh Scott is a blast to watch run, super anchor leg at Penn in the CoA race this year, he's a kicker type 400 guy,, rare breed. JCSU Leford Green has been hit and miss but seems to be getting back into shape, and Hyatt from Lincoln is rapidly improving, wouldn't be shocked to see a low, low, 45 out of this group.
First time I've missed the D2 meet in a long time.......

I wouldn't count out Green from JC Smith...now that he's freed of getting the team points (he ran the flat 400, 400H, 200, the javelin and both relays @ conference), I look for him to really drop something in the final.

No way am I counting Leford out, he's awesome, an amazing talent that not many know about (I live in the Charlotte area). I still like Scott in the 400 though.
We know him well, ran 45.89 at boys and girls' champs in 2006 his last year in HS. I am a bit disappointed he hasn't gone sub 45 yet but hopefully this year he will
Hats off to Coach Marc Harrison's UDC Lady Firebirds for making some noise nationally by qualifying in the 4, 8, and 4 x 4 finals. Before coming to UDC, Marc used to coach @ Bowie State.
