    HUH???

That's not a given at all. In fact there is precicely no evidence what so ever to even suggest it.

She may very well end up the season as No.1 but one race of 50.75 hardly points towards dominance, especially with the JAM ladies all looking great and TBO not having competed over her specialist distance yet. It's also especially ridiculouss to write of Sanya so early. It's only May???

I really like Allyson but it's this kind on nonsensical hyperbole by her fans that always makes me hope she'll lose.

      Don't hold back there, Flump!!

That said, the sentiment is right - Allyson hasn't looked like being any better than she was at this time last year SO FAR, so it does seem just a little ridiculous to start talking about her being peerless!

Likewise, as if Sanya is the only threat in the 400m  - personally, I think this event is again going to be one to watch this year - lots of girls fighting for it, and wouldn't be surprised if sub-50 was needed to make the final by the time we get to Berlin...

Once she jumps out ahead of Felix, it's going to be hard for Felix to catch her, and the past two Olympics that's what happen. I'm sure Allyson Felix having nightmares about those too past Olympics. The Gold medal that she been dreaming of but still hadn't gotten.
Felix responded pretty well to the "nightmare" of the 2004 Olympics by winning gold at 2005 and 2007 WC. Maybe she will respond just as well to the "nightmare" of 2008.

It's still a nightmare for her ...she said, she would love to have the Olympics' 200m Gold Medal more. So, until she has that allusive gold medal, the races will remain a nightmare. No matter how many 200m races she wins/won, the main one that she wants she hasn't get!!!
        *Sigh*

What's your point of even making a statement like that?

I'm sure Allyson is quite comfortable with herself and her career and I doubt your characterization (besides being completely irresponsible) is anywhere close to the truth.

So, how do all of the people in the world who run track and finish behind Allyson feel? They're having nighmares too?

Maybe they're thankful they're competing at a world class level (they could be working the drive thru at Taco Bell) and aren't only stuck with the option of typing about their love for T&F on a messsageboard like you and me.

Most of these athletes are thankful for the opportunity and realize how blessed they are to be in this situation.

Few people who ever live will ever come close to even competing in an Olympic Games, much less medaling in one.

        Besides...she's only 23 years old. 23!

It'll be quite some time before her track bio is written and could her future be brighter?

Good retort TD.....let me add my two cents as well.

Sure Allyson would have loved to have won gold in the Olympics (top platform).

She is aware that she cannot rerun that race and has moved on, I hardly think she is belaboring that race in her mind, what would be the point of that?

She'll continue to train and prepare for the events she competes in and perform to the best of her ability, and if that happens to bring her gold in the 200m in London, that remains to be seen.

I noticed that most of the posts on this board always get taken over with threads on Felix. Why don't we just dedicate a post JUST for her...since she is the greatest since slice bread.

Well you did say why don't WE dedicate a post just for her, I presumed you meant thread. Are you part of we?

It's seems as if you're interested in trying to mock her.

And what has she done to deserve that?

(note that VCB was 11.09w in the heats, not the legal 11.02 mentioned above)

It was reported that way in the Jamaican press, but it was obviously wrong. I wonder where that legal 11.02 misinformation came from.
