I initially thought WTH? too (actually WTF?), so decided to check. The big guns were inducted last year

How come Mary Rand hasn't been re-nominated? Winning Olympic Gold with a WR is hard to top.

This is the second class to be inducted.

Why wasn't Cram on that earlier induction?

Or Jonathan Edwards? I can see how Cram could be ranked just slightly below Coe and Ovett.

Not to mention an individual silver and relay bronze at same Games. A full set of medals with a world record and they don't nominate her. How queer.

My top three candidates would be:
                1. Edwards
                2. Shrubb
                3. Cram

Would also add Walter George if he's not in already.

No doubt that Kathy Cook stands out on that list.

I would say Jim Peters should rate a consideration at least.

there's no need for everyone to get so het up it only started last year and you can only put so many people in at one time you could hardly put 3 male middle distance runners in at the same time !!!

obviously mary rand should be here she's the best female athlete uk has ever had

this time johnathon has to go in so does kathy and steve, anne and fatima
                        i deserve extra credit

                          Roger Bannister comes to mind.

Kathy Cook?? guess that was for gender equity.
Cram in before Coe and Ovett??

No. As several people have pointed out, this is the second class to be chosen. Bannister, Coe, and Ovett were all inducted last year.

Are you joking? Look at who she had to run against.
