Nah. Powell's run 9.7x enough times to show he could be at least Bolt's equal over 100m. Maybe not 'destroy him', but I put the phrase down to hyperbole! He's got the physical qualities, not the mental.

The dumbest thing said so far was the commentator giving the moment of the meet to Allyson Felix's win.
Bolt is the reigning Olympic Champion and World Record holder, there is nobody who can "destroy" him. That was simply an ignorant and stupid comment and totally uncalled for. Even if Asafa were to put it all together at a championship, he might not finish better than second.

Obviously Asafa is not at full strength, but I really, really wish he'd finish a race.

        I agree about Asafa, MArlow.

But Welcome to Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood!

        Mike wants it!

People talking about Dix on first...

        Shoot...Mike Rodgers gonna scratch...right scratch?

The bottom 3 finishers in the race are Jamaica's 4x1 minus Bolt.

                    I dunno!
Depends on whether or not they keep the same strategy- get waaaaaaaaaay ahead before they get to Bolt. I could still see them putting Dix second, tho.
Dont know if Rodgers would do the same kinda damage Dic did at Penn.
....I dunno if ANYBODY could (lol)

                        Yeah, man.
Ato's usually on point and I cant say I ever disagreed with him.
                        ...Until today.
When I heard it, I was like yeah...uh...I mean...what did he just say????
                        :?

                          Good points.

Mike was a beast indoors this year. His first step is wicked and he gets out like the blocks are on fire.

Not sure about his curve though and we know what Dix has got cause we saw it at Penn, like you said.

I do believe Mike is running his way into the conversation though.

                          Nice run for Padgett too.

                            Well put.
He IS running his way into the conversation.
And he mighta just switched things up a bit.
                            How does this look:
                            Rodgers
                            Padgett(Spearmon)
                            Gay
                            Dix

                              Dix
Naw I'd still place Dix, Patton, Gay to Rogers. Mike's better on the straight than a curve, though he can hold his own!

Ummm...Asafa is not injured. He ran with the intent on doing well, the issue he has is his mental game is on crutches!

I will tell you all this, after Tyson ran that WL 19.58 RIDUNKULOUS 200m's, the crowd was in AWE and the athletes who were warming up for the men's 100m's GOT HYPE...at least I saw Patton and Rodgers kinda get amped alongwith someone else I cannot remember...but you could see it in the air.

Powell was swallowed up by 40m's and that was the race right there, the entire field just rolled on him and he did not know how to respond.

Powells start was garbage (relatively speaking) plus he has been injured... tough day at the office for him...
