Agreed that's a very sick field I believe the winner will be under 9.8

Are you serious???? Apparently you did not watch the Reebok Grand Prix last week. Churandy Martina is running well and I am a BIG fan of Richard Thompson but I dont see 9.8 this weekend.
If Richard runs 9.8 this weekend I wont mind eating my words with doubles and slight peppa!!

just sayin that it's a heavy weight field.

in Eugene one never knows how the weather will be for sprinting. it can be cold in early June.

I am not anticipating a big time, but I am anticipating an early season race with heavy pressure, big guns and probably a tightly bunched finish ranging from 9.90 to 10.15, top to bottom.

I predict that Martina will win, though look for Michael Rodgers and Travis Padgett to again be the spoilers. Richard Thompson or Asafa, in top mid-season form and fully healthy, would be my favorites.

Hope it's a nice warm day in Eugene, we see a high quality race, and everybody leaves healthy.

                      whoops.

                      forgot about Walter Dix.

guess is that he is not "race sharp". therefore, not favoring Dix. if he is healthy, and sharp, look for Dix. he ran 10.00 early season into a slight headwind.

                        I'm gonna go with:

                        1st place: Walter Dix in 9.8-low if it's a tailwind, 9.8-high in 0-wind, and 9.9x if it's a headwind

2nd place: Travis Padgett in 9.8-high if it's a tailwind, 9.9-low in 0 wind, and around 10.0 into a headwind

3rd place: Churandy Martina in 9.9-low if it's a tailwind, around 10 flat in 0-wind, and 10.0-high into a headwind

                        as my official prediction

It is obvious that you did not use any pray in your prediction, (Mr. Atheist)
I really dont expect anything exciting this weekend on the Eugene 100 meter strip.
Unless the guys in the 800 decide to dive for the line or a shot put rolls onto the track.
4 of the Top 5 Shot Putters this year plus the 2008 Gold Medalists will be competing !
