Personal record, second all-time and low-altitude WR. Carter runs 20th fastest at this rarely-contested distance.

Lashawn killed the first 100. Xavier Carter looked good in the race as well, his best looking race of the season.

I think we have the match up of the decade: Bolt vs Merritt at 300m!
... nothing really ever changes my friend, new lines for old, new lines for old.

          300 meters

LM by alot. Someone said they didn't know about him winning by alot the other day. Well look at the results the guy is ready for some big things. Disappointed in Spearmons' effort. Yeah he got 3rd, but will this guy ever run a complete race. He just never runs the 1st 100 of a 200 or 300.

Is the wind over 2 an issue in the 300? Would have thought it would have to be a very specific direction to be an aid.

Alas, I can see how you'd have raised that question. This is the second best mark ever recorded by the second-fasted person.

No the wind is not a factor at any distance over 200.

                    Wow, great run by LaShawn!

He looked a lot better today than he did a week ago.

He looked like he's back in the form he was in at the Carson Adidas meet, if not maybe even a little better.

                    Nice run!

I wasn't watching Carter too carefully on the left, but I assume that was him trying to close a little at the end, so I'm glad to see he's at least not just fading into 8th place obscurity or anything in races.

Not sure what Spearmon was doing, that looked awful.

                    Anyways, nice run for Merritt.

Nice run, but what's with the stupid hand signals after the race?

Oh. Thanks for the clarification. Not my style, but i guess it's o.k. with him being a sprinter and all!

I prefer the Hulk Hogan flex!

I agree IF he runs 400 at USAT&F. He was 0.29 slower than Spearmon at 200 last week, but 0.21 faster at 300. I assume that he hasn't entered USAT&F because he plans to run 400 at Berlin on June 14 and 200 at Ostrava on June 17 to improve his season bests of 45.75 and 20.27.

USAT&F has made a slight schedule change, so Men's 200 heat is about 1 1/2 hours before Men's 400 final. Should be no problem for "X-Man" who needs races. He ran 20.08 and 44.0r in 2005 NCAA with less rest.

Women's 200 heat is about one hour before 400 final, but Sanya isn't talking about a 400/200 double, so I doubt that she'll run both.
