      I can't believe the NCAA doesn't use lanes 1 and 2 in sprint races, even for the 400, 400H and 4x400!

            Yeh, advancing three of five athletes in preliminary heats is a joke.

              I know gh has stated no one at the NCAA cares about track fans. I think this sort of preliminary set up (advance 3 of 5) is proof. It is a stinking nine lane track. You could have four heats of 7,6,6,6 in the 200 for instance and STILL not use lanes 1 and 2.
