While 2:29 is poor for a heptathlete, it is by no means a disaster level---and o
n the bright side, improving that 2.29 to e.g. 2.20 gives a lot of nice points.

Trying to see if there any American prospects in this field. I would say no. Krais should have improved more than this. Nia Ali maybe, but how can a trained athlete other than a shotputter run 2:29 for the 800m? Shana Woods hasn't improved since HS.

a freshman placing 11th at nationals is fine in my book. she actually looked like she had a very good 2nd day. and as for no american prospects bettie wade and gayle hunter both graduate this year so you'll be seeing them this summer probably trying to go to world's.

Never knew Ali was a multi event athlete I thought her reputation just came from hurdling this is like Tempest Vance from South Carolina St I first knew her as a 400h specialist and the coach at SC State has her doing the multi event just curious will this hurt them as hurdlers?
