              Don't know exactly how you define "major" but this has to be the closest major meet field finish ever.
              - 2 cm from first to sixth
              - Three tied for best mark, with the winner moving from third to first by improving her second best by over two meters on the final jump;
              - Fourth one cm back and with a better 2nd best mark than any of the top three
              - Fifth two cm back and with a better 2nd best mark than any of the top four
              - Sixth also two cm back and with a better fourth best mark than any of the top four had for their 2nd best

                I was just perusing the results and noticed what you described above. This is quite remarkable indeed. Wondering if any of the stat mavens around here could dig up a result that exceeded this (in terms of closeness). :!:
