Anyone know the 100M Dash results? Can't find them anywhere 55 minutes after scheduled start.

Meet schedule is in CDT I believe. So m100 Deca should start in 3 minutes.

4th and final heat up now- Eaton is in this one.

Dr. Z on the mic. Fairly easy to hear the field announces with the volume turned up.

I heard a news story today that wind speeds around the world were diminishing, perhaps due to global warning. At the end they said "scientists are unable to explain why this phenomenon does not apply to major track meets held in the United States."

                Wind

There is high pressure to perform well inside the stadiums (stadia?), but low pressure outside (public doesn't care or know), so the increased differences in pressure account for higher winds. That's my theory.

I don't mean to be unnecessarily critical, but I am very surprised that a Nationals-level decathlete can only run a 11.50 with a 3.4 headwind. Did Mr. Kosk have the worst start in track and field history, or is he someone who is going to rock my world in the throws and 1500?

It you think 11.5/4mps is bad, thinking it is 11.5/-4mps, wait until you realize that it is a Tailwind.

This sounds scientifically correct to me.
But no funnel clouds this year so that's an improvement.

I thought Eaton's 24-10 was just average until I saw he did it with 2 fouls.

What about all the hot air rising from the know-it-alls in the stands? Doesn't that create a wind from the center of the stadium rushing towards the periphery?
