Niklaus and Abele out for Berlin

Major bummer especially for Niklaus who is from Berlin, his old foot injury resurfaced again and he will have surgery in July. Apparently he has four sesamoid bones in his left forefoot instead of two and parts of the sesamoid bone got detached. That part is bothering him whenever he is trying to push off the ground and jump. He feels a little like "a Porsche with weak tires".

This is sad news for Niklaus, although he would have needed to be at his best form to challenge for a top 5 place.

The good news is, Ratingen all going well, Germany have Schrader and Behrenbuch representing them, who have definate chances of making the top 5.
