May be that they are testing their ability to run 20.000m in Berlin by doubling in a 5.000m at a fast pace following a hard 10.000m; Berlin would offer a much slower second race.

      • Roman Sebrle was only 9cm behind Bayer's best jump!

It's looking like he's very far from repeating that beamonesque Turin's jump. Was it just the luckiest day of his life?
The thing is that it has backfired and now he's way below the level from indoor season. I mean it wasn't just in Torino he jumped 8m+. Now he can't do 7,70m in +1,5 winds...[/quote:2xgha8z8]

          That makes sense.

Now, we don't know if he's gonna peak later. Perhaps, due to the level he was in winter he's not having big workloads yet. We're still two months from the WC

            • That's an impressive 10000/5000 double victory by Melkamu! Nice kick to hold off Masai as well.

                • Dang, missed the 5K....

But I like how Batman cruised to this victory and double plus for having "Batman" on his athlete entry name across his chest! 8-)

                  • Though she lost, Masai can resign to the fact that she set a lifetime best (14.34,36) in the race. Her previous best was only three weeks old (14.35,39 from New York).

                          • What an 800m race. Ismail got 5m gap into the final straigth but faded badly and Rudisha caught him. No cross sign for Kiprop today....
