For US weather, I always use the weather bureau's site, weather.gov.

Here's what they say about it:

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 71.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 79.

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 52.

Saturday: A slight chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 78.

Saturday Night: A slight chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 50.

Sunday: A slight chance of showers. Partly cloudy, with a high near 78.
Sounds ok, but it could be cool by the end of those distance races Thursday and Friday, especially if the men's 5000 requires two sections. It might be a good idea to bring a light windbreaker.

I arrived in Eugene this morning. It was one of the prettiest days I've seen in Eugene. A little wind in the afternoon, but beautiful blue skies. I think it is in the 80's.

Anything will beat Fayetteville in the bleachers during the late afternoon; I would like their legroom, however

No problem the couple of hours I was here and awake lsat night, but I woke up this morning with my nasal passages glued shut (despite several days of dosing in preparation). Haven't had a problem like this here in 20 years. I pity sensitive athletes.

That's nice to know, but the meet starts Thursday and ends Sunday. Here's the latest from weather.gov:
Today: Cloudy early, then becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 74. North northwest wind between 3 and 8 mph.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51. North northeast wind between 6 and 9 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. North northeast wind between 5 and 15 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 49. North wind 14 to 17 mph decreasing to between 5 and 8 mph. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 83. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 53.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84.
Looking out my hotel window, I can confirm the "cloudy early" part. I hope the rest of it is right, too.

                      Windy Friday

tandfman, my message was labelled " Windy Friday" and was posted because I thought some might like to know that winds up to 18 mph were predicted for the day when the semis and finals of the 100s were to take place. Since the forecast for all the days had been posted previously, I sought only to add the new info about the wind. Nevertheless thank you for informing me it's a four day meet. Who would have guessed? Golly that's a long one, huh?

If today seemed a bit breezy, wait until tomorrow.

Sorry. I missed that. I hate to tell you this, but I don't think very many people read the subject headings that people post, other than the one that starts a thread. I never do.

At any rate, the current forecast is pretty much the same as it was yesterday. Apart from the wind, the weather is ideal.

hokey smokes! all these years here (and supposedly "in charge") and I'm not sure I ever noticed that the subject headings ever changed!
