I'm biased because I help represent her, but I can't see AYB losing to McGregor. Amy has had a great year (won USATF Indoor 3000, Gate River 15K, and has run some decent 1500s) and is in fabulous shape.

Can't argue with their top three.

Just caught the W10K on RunnerSpace. The last few laps were awesome by Amy Yoder-Begley and Shalane -it was quite a battle.

Friendly battle, but battle - there were points where each (especially Amy) could have used lapped runners to kill the others momentum but they did not do it.

I didn't see the race, but per the splits Begley led at every finish-line crossing from 2K-to-go. Of course, Flanagan could have passed her on last lap and been re-passed. Last 2K just under 6:06.

Based on the wind readings earlier, conditions were probably not that good.
                    Cheers,

Flanagan did go to the fore only to be re-passed by Amy on the curve (150 to go), jockeying around several lapped runners.

She surprised me here as I did not think of her as this 'quick'.
