    Not difficult to get all 3, but Begley was stronger than I expect. For WC, it will be hard Flanagan reach again a medal. Begley in a top10 is the maximum achievement that I believe she can reach.

    I didn't see the race, but per the splits Begley led at every finish-line crossing from 2K-to-go. Of course, Flanagan could have passed her on last lap and been re-passed. Last 2K just under 6:06.

    Based on the wind readings earlier, conditions were probably not that good.

    Flanagan did go to the fore only to be re-passed by Amy on the curve (150 to go), jockeying around several lapped runners.

    Friendly battle, but battle - there were points where each (especially Amy) could have used lapped runners to kill the others momentum but they did not do it.
