    Since it was a road race, the times should be expressed in even seconds:

    1. Tim Seaman (NYAC) 1:26:15 (AL);
    2. Patrick Stroupe (unat) 1:26:42;
    3. Benjamin Shorey (unat) 1:27:18;
    4. John Nunn (USAr) 1:27:43;
    5. Stephen Quirke (unat) 1:29:41;
    6. Michael Tarantino (unat) 1:30:55;
    7. Christopher Tegtmeier (ConcNB) 1:32:51;
    8. Theron Kissinger (CtRW) 1:40:32.

    No men have a standard. Seaman is the only one who could do one now and he has said he will not attempt to get one this year. He'll be focusing on domestic races for the remainder of the year. His priority is developing our Jr Men and helping his fiance, Canadian Rachel Lavallee, do well in Berlin as she preps for London.

    No live feed!!! Is it Nike or USATF policy that if we totally ignore the event it will go away forever? (Its probably not too far from reality)

    All someone had to do was turn the camera on, as the PA announcer would have provided at least enough audio for people to know WTF is going on. (deleted rant)

    -----------

    Ok, heard back from USATF & Flotrack. There was video done, just not live. They're trying to make it work, but being on the road threw them for a loop. My apologies.

    Are you insinuating that he cheats the least and would disbenefit from laxer (more infrequent) judging?
    No, I'm not. Just as some 10k runners do better on the track or road, walkers are that way too. Actually, the judging zone lengths on the road or track @ championships are almost the same length. You just get more judges over the road course. If the road course is an out & back, they actually are judged more there, as the judge gets both sides of the road.

    If the race is held on the track, as is rumored to be happening, Seaman will win. He has never lost to any of the field on the track (that I can recall). If it stays on the road, he'll have a tougher time, but his experience should win out over the younger legs of Stroupe.
    Why didn't you post this sooner? :x I just went with Nunn on the visa game. :evil:

    So here's hoping your inside knowledge doesn't hold up.

    Stroupe
