Ok, it's almost upon us. I'm looking to see some fresh faces on the senior team to Berlin. Yohan Blake being the guy i've been watching all season and I'm pulling to get that 3 spot in 100m. Also think a sub-10 could come at trials. N. Ashmeade has a chance to be in relay pool also, along with Dexter Lee. These three have a shot at mingling with the seniors on the trip to Berlin. Now, Ashmeade is also listed to run the 200m, there I think he has a very good shot to take a individual spot and this will do him good for the future. I haven't seen or heard anything about Roman McKenzie taking part at JA Nationals.

400m, can Jermaine Gonzales (Usain Bolt best friend since high school), make the cut individually? It will be tough, but i'm sure he will make the relay pool.

Triple Jump we could see Kimberly Williams make the cut. These are few young athletes I will be watching at JA trials. Trials look to be interesting and I just hope I can watch it online. I know trackalerts will bring live blogging from track side during the meet. Watching it will be great.

                Your right.

Since there are no heats in the womens 100m(just semis and finals), I would have preferred them to run the semis today and finals tomorrow to give the women some rest between the races.

Thanks in advance for your updates Jamaicantrackfan. Do you know if CVMTV will be provided coverage tomorrow (Saturday)? Because I know last year a TV station in Jamaica covered the meet on Saturday (the CVMTV footage of the w 100m and m 100m races are on youtube.)

The W 100m races going to be cracking. Interesting to see Sherone Simpson, because she doesn't has the extra preliminary race to warm up. I read that SAF said, she is 90-99%. She is getting better. The final should be a cracker.

100m going to be popping also. Frater, Mullings and Blake the top three to me looking to get that final spot. I'm pulling for Blake. Tomorrow final is shaping up to be interesting.

Asafa really puzzle me sometimes. One of his latest statements is so... I am confident, but not in a competitive/competing attitude. I think he will have to run a little more than he wants to in the finals, because of the three guys fighting for that last spot.

Sherone didn't have one in 2008 either. She was injured at the end of 2007 and ran her first 2008 race at the trials where she was third in 10.87 seconds in the 100m

After re reading your post, I suspect you meant semis and finals this year versus heats, semis and finals regularly such as last year. She will be fine however.

Asafa will be fine. He should qualify easily. The most competitive spot however will be for third place since have Mullings, Yohan, Frater are all running well . I wouldn't be surprised if third place goes below 10 seconds.
