  • At the end of the women's 200m race at the US trials today Ato Bolden mentioned that VCB announced she may skip the 100 to focus on the 200.

That would be surprising to me.

Does anyone know where I can find this quote?

Boldon is a liar. Never heard that before. VC will definitely defend her 100m title in Berlin.

BTW, the JA trials just begun. I will give updates

To the best of my knowledge she's only skipping it at the trials ... maybe that's what he really meant to say. Or maybe that's what confused him .... to call the man a liar seems a little strong

I wish I could watch this live like you guys lkajgsdkljge4gj8qjgelagjlsa

Oh well, please update as soon as you can!

I don't think Bolt is going to go all out in the 200 either btw, since he mentioned repeatedly that his goal for trials was to make the team WITHOUT GETTING INJURED (which is code words for "I'm going to jog and coast")

He said that she might skip the 100m(as the defending champ) and just do the 200m.

Never read anything anywhere regarding this. VC has said many times that she looks forward to defending her tittle.

                        • Hurdles semis are finished....

The ones to watch are the usual on the women's side:
Bridget Foster (not race sharp but she won easily still),
                          Ellis-London
                          Dixon

                          On the men's side:
                          Richards Phillips
                          Maurice Wignal
                          Dwight Thomas

Women's semi up in about 5 minutes
