My big fat idea is that Kenya and Jamaica combine their national champs.

As this thread seems to have taken over, in terms of discussing medallists in the sprints in Berlin....
I suggest, Muna, drop the 100, and go for the Gold in the deuce...
Why? The 200 is your best shot, and the 100 rounds are going to make it tough sledding in the 200. To win the 200, you need to get a good lane, which means you have to be ready to run hard in the semis, and if you do that on legs that are already tired, the gold will be very tough, even tougher than it will be anyways...
That is $1000., please. My invoice is in the mail

MVP just announced tonight that Fraser will not run the 200m in Berlin.
Thus, no Kerron, No Fraser. All of our burdens will be on VC shoulders.
Not happy about that.
imho

Just goes to show the level of intensity high school tracks in Jamaica invokes. What you are seeing these days at the trials is probably a 3 or 4 fold increase from the crowd support which was there 20 years ago when it was free.

Naw they're just stuck in the stadium, still waving those funny colored flags.

So why the relatively low turnout for Bolt's final home appearances before the European season? Poor marketing? Expensive tickets? Or simply not as much interest as I presumed there would be? Any and all insight greatly appreciated.

This just increases the intensity of that 100m final.
SAF, Jeter, VCB, Muna, Kerron, Lauryn
And diminishes the 200m field a bit more.
Since Muna and VCB are probably doubling, then Felix, who already is a huge threat to win as defending champ, has an advantage to win 200m gold ala Osaka (although probably not by the same margin which was just surreal).
Someone would need to focus only on the 200m to challenge Felix IMO. Since VCB and Muna are both bigger threats to medal in the 200m as the field is not as crowded (no Jeter, SAF, or Stewart) as the 100m event, (SAF, Jeter, Lauryn, Kerron, Muna, VCB) would either consider dropping the 100? I doubt it but many people would say that right now SAF, Jeter and Kerron are favorites based on results to this point. However, Muna is getting stronger and stronger and VCB is defending champ
Looks like Muna and VCB will be the only ones with a chance to be double medalist in open events.
Muna showed at Beijing, as Kerron also did, that she can handle rounds in both events and still run a strong 200m final.

Not happy about that.... but you can still think about it, that will be about the extent of it
PS Gold may not be in the picture
i saw a bronze in Kerron/Lee.
Now... I see Lee moving in a clear bronze medal position with her closest rival being Hooker....
All I am hoping now is that Facey and Annie can make final.... *sighs*
